KYC speaks on Engine Room Design and Green Technology During the Boat International Super Yacht Design Festival in Cortina

The Superyacht Design Festival, previously known as the Superyacht Design Symposium, has covered all aspects of yacht design and its future, from emerging construction trends, cutting-edge technologies, and the latest developments in green technology and sustainability. It took place from the 2-4 February 2020 in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.

The world’s leading superyacht designers, shipyard CEOs and industry figures, along with yacht owners and guests from the luxury community gathered for a thought-provoking and entertaining event.

Hans Konings, Director, Konings Yacht Consultancy joined the Superyacht Design Festival to discuss how green technology will shape the engine space and layouts of the yachts of tomorrow.

Hans Konings has over 30 years experience in the marine industry. His career began as when he took up a role as Production Manager with AMELS in 2003. From 2011, he was appointed Design Manager and has been involved in many successful projects ever since, receiving several awards for his work. To date, he’s been involved with the delivery of over 50 superyachts – and counting. A well-known authority in the yachting industry, he launched his own company, Konings Yacht Consultancy back in 2018. The operation has offices in both Vlissingen the Netherlands, and Ancona and Viareggio, Italy.
